We walk past this beautiful magnolia most mornings and I’ve been desperate to photograph it for years. Last year the rains were heavy and it spoilt the delicate flowers so given the super weather we are enjoying right now I knew I couldn’t miss the opportunity.

I couldn’t wait to share this new product with you! I’ve had a personalised skin for my iPhone for a while now and it occurred to me that it would be something my clients would love too! So for a limited time I am offering a complimentary iPhone skin for all sessions between now and September 2012 using your favourite image from your shoot! I might add that these are available for nearly every model of mobile phone and in a variety of designs. They come with a front and back, the front skin being optional and I have my image on the back of my iPhone. Here are a few examples and I will be adding more soon.

Mid month musings and a little bit of summer – { Modern Whimsy Photography by Nadia Swindell – Weybridge – Surrey }

I’m quite enjoying January but I’m desperate for Spring to arrive! Eager to look at something with a bit more colour I decided to have a look through my archive of unedited photos. When I shoot for clients I edit ALL of the best shots, when I photograph my own kids I tend to edit a couple and then move on as there normally isn’t the time so they get put it in my virtual ‘to do later’ folder, which of course rarely ever gets looked at again. So I’ve decided over the next few cold winter days I’m going to try and edit a few of those images and post them on here.

Here is one taken of my eldest daughter last summer. I love how the apples frame her face.

I can’t believe it has taken me so long to introduce Bingo, the newest addition to our family! Bingo is an Italian Greyhound and a real cutie. I couldn’t resist dressing him up a little for this shoot!

Given that it is only the 5th January, today has to be the windiest day we’ve had this year, in these parts anyway. It didn’t put us off though and I think this proves that despite the weather you can still get lovely photos, (I’ll add some more of these a little later) . This little chap was so relaxed and beautifully behaved that half way through the session he decided to have a snooze, after which there was no waking him!
